why is this garbage even posted? you would not install xp and expect all of your old 98 and 95 games and drivers to work on xp so why do you think all the drivers and programs should work on vista? why dose everyone blame vista instead of the company that made the hardware or application for not making an update or patch to run it on vista?

Who allows this BS on this site. He/She is so wrong on all counts. Vista install is 4-5 GB Not 40,está loco!!. I have nvidia 8600gt one machine and 8800 on another running beautifully.

UAC after setup is never intrusive.Pops up when it needs to. I feel safer with the kids using the computers. No viruses thanx UAC.

XP is far from perfect, lets not get into alll the headaches this os has given.

Vista is much more stable. Shame on whoever let this nonsense on your front page.

when i read that vista alone took up 40gb of space i knew this guy does not know what he is talking about.

and then when i read about ROOT i knew it was a Linux fanboy writing it.

and this guy is talking about old news and issues that have been taken care of with the nvidia drivers. which by the way was the fault of nvidia not vista.

but the nvidia driver issue was taken care of long ago. and as far as hardware support go's let me give this Linux fanboy a lesson Microsoft is not apple they are a software company not a hardware company. the hardware manufactures write the drivers to work with vista not the other way around.

if hp or who ever will not write drivers for your hardware to work with vista go yell at them.

and as i look back at when windows 2000 came out it was the same no drivers a lot of the old software would not work and even though windows 2000 and windows xp were all most the same code. drivers were a big problem with xp when it came out.

the points this guy has made just do not hold up.

now when vista first went RTM it had a lot of bugs as does any os Linux and osx included. but over time they are worked out. and your left with a great os.

all my boxes run vista now and i would not even think of going back to xp.

just my 2 cents
