Build a high-spec laptop and save money!
OCZ has gone all Ikea with its DIY Gaming Notebook in a box

Building your own desktop PC out of bits of hardware is nothing new, but building your own laptop is practically unheard of – until now.
OCZ has just announced that it plans to sell a kit where can build your own, which will include the laptop case and all hardware. This will save you money, as you'll be putting the parts inside the laptop case yourself, instead of a worker in a factory.
The other advantage is that when you want to upgrade, you can simply open it and swap the components for newer, faster ones.
Although it comes as standard with an nVidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics card, you can buy your own components, which means you can search the internet for the cheapest prices.
And even if you’re feeling confident about building a laptop PC, OCZ will include a set-up guide to make it similar to assembling a Swedish wardrobe, only easier and a lot less likely to fall apart afterwards.
