Feb 9, New Memory Installed

I just upgraded my ram from 2Gb to 4Gb and when I look on system properties it shows on 3.096 of system memory. Where is the other Gb.? Toshiba

I have done the same , i have upgraded from 2GB to 4GB of ram and have the same results, in my bios it shows the correct ammount of ram which is 4.071 but in system it shows only 3.096, where is the other GB why doesnt it show up in system.
