Focus on: School Holidays with Windows Vista
Now the kids are at home, see how Windows Vista can make the holidays entertaining, for both them and you.

School holidays are a mixed blessing for parents. On one hand, there's no need to constantly nag offspring about homework, getting up on time or why the school has been phoning non-stop for three days. But engaging children who are used to a regimented school timetable is no small feat.
In these circumstances, parents have traditionally seen the computer as something to be used only as a last resort, after all patience has been exhausted and whining voices are leading to migraines. Three hours of Sonic the Hedgehog equaled three hours of a child-free existence, which whilst was a much needed break for the parent, wasn't necessarily seen as a productive way for the kids to spend the holidays.
Computers no longer have to be seen as cheap babysitters, however. There's plenty you can do with your computer and Windows Vista that will actually get your kids away from the screen and out of the house. All this week we'll be letting you know how to keep the kids occupied, engaged and entertained, and without destroying either your bank balance or your will to live.
