As Corrine just noted on her website (congrats on another MVP Corrine!), The advanced notice for the monthly security update has been posted on the Microsoft Security Response Center website. This time around, Vista will be getting only one update, but it will be a critical one.
All versions of Vista, both 32 and 64-bit, are affected by this issue, which can allow “Remote Code Execution”. The fix will be available, as usual, on the second Tuesday of the month (January 8, 2008). A second update that is being released for Windows XP and Server 2003 does not affect Windows Vista.
