New Windows Vista Ultimate Dreamscene wallpaper
Enjoy a new video desktop, care of Silverlight
By Jon on 22 June 2007
Windows Vista Ultimate users rejoice! A bit. There's a new
Dreamscene background available for download, produced by the Silverlight team.
Silverlight, in case you haven't been following the cutting edge of website development, is a new Microsoft technology for creating programs that run in your web browser - everything from proper tools to streaming video.
To celebrate the release of the first beta, the team have created a new Windows Vista DreamScene background - a soothing blue affair with twirling
shapes, like a very low-key version of the Ribbons screensaver. It's not a proper Windows Vista Ultimate Extra, so it's not on Windows Update - you can download it from the Microsoft website.

If you want to have a go at using Silverlight yourself, the ever-helpful
Ian Moulster has happened upon some guides at
NibblesTutorials.net. One of the most exciting things you can do with it is video streaming; you get 4GB of free storage that you can stream anywhere you like, without any Microsoft branding. Check out
