While we wait for its successor, Microsoft continues to update Internet Explorer 7
Update fixes vulnerability in Service Pack 1
By Matthew Hanson on 11 April 2008
Whilst we wait for a final release date for Internet Explorer 8, Microsoft has released an update for its current web browser, Internet Explorer 7.
The main focus of the update is to remove the ‘click to activate’ message that Internet Explorer displays when a user tries to interact with embedded media in web pages, such as flash movies, Java and QuickTime items.
The update also includes a patch to fix a security vulnerability that is found in Internet Explorer 7 running on Windows Vista Service Pack 1.
The final build of Internet Explorer 7, which includes the update, can be found here, and the update should also appear in Windows Update.
