Exclusive: new Windows DreamScene desktop wallpapers out now!

Windows Vista Ultimate owners rejoice - Microsoft releases a Windows DreamScene Content pack via Windows Update
By NickO on 01 November 2007

Finally, that extra cash you paid to get the best edition of Windows Vista – Windows Vista Ultimate – starts to come good.

As of today, Microsoft has released a Windows DreamScene Content pack through Windows Update which includes two stunning new background wallpapers for your desktop.

The first is a beautiful waterfall – my personal favourite – and the other looks like something straight out of the Matrix. Both are very cool and definitely worth the download.

Windows Update should automatically pop up on your taskbar to tell you that the update is available, so just click on this and download the (optional) Content pack.

To select the new wallpapers, just right-click your desktop, select Personalize from the drop-down menu and click on Desktop Background. Then in the drop-down Location menu, select Windows DreamScene Content, and choose your new wallpaper.

Here are screen shots of both wallpapers to sample. Enjoy!

Strange - the update only became available today and both these wallpapers weren't in there before. Oh well, worth mentioning if it hadn't been already.

Have you seen the waterfall one before?

Hi:

I just downloaded the update, and the only mpeg that came was one named "vid1337"

Any idea where the others are, or how to add?

Thanks,

Win
