Browser won't display telephone numbers

When browsing pages on web telephone numbers will not display.

Fist, apologies if this question has already been asked; I tried searching for an answer without success. When I'm browsing the internet pages, the pages just flash telephone numbers but then the numbers dissappear. As you can imagine this is frustrating when I'm searching a telephone directory that will not display numbers! Is this a setting within IE or is there a setting within Vista that needs adjusting. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

If you have Skype intstalled that may be the problem. Skype has a browser ad on that displays phone numbers a certain way whenever they appear. Try to remove Skype see if that helps.
