Blogging seems to be as popular ever, and it’s a great way to share your views on pretty much any topic, or even use it to share events with your family and friends.  Starting your own blog can be a simple process, or very time consuming depending on your wants and needs.  For people new to blogging, or someone who is just wanting a simple, but powerful blogging solution I refer them over to JoeUser.com.

JoeUser is great because it’s more than just an isolate blog site, it’s an entire community of users from all over the world.

So lets go over how to create  your very own blog.

Head over to www.joeuser.com and signup for your free blog.

Enter some basic information like your e-mail address, name and password.  You also need to select your username which will not only be displayed on your blog postings, but it will also be your own personalized domain like yourname.joeuser.com.

You should then receive a confirmation e-mail, and you now have your very own blog!  That wasn’t very hard was it?

Take a look at my blog on JoeUser so you can get a feel of what your blog will look like.  You will also have your own RSS feed where others can subscribe to your blog and read your posts in RSS readers such as Google Reader.

With your blog you also get a Dashboard where you can manage your blog.  From here you can write, edit, delete posts on your blog, and view comments made by people on  your posts.

Another great feature of JoeUser is the ability to view detailed stats about your blog, including referrals in which you can see where your readers are coming from.

Once you are familiar with the layout of JoeUser, you are probably ready to start writing your first post.  There is a full featured editor available to write your posts, or if you prefer, JoeUser supports Windows Live Writer which is a great tool for writing posts when you are offline.

This is pretty much the basics of starting  your own blog.  Now it’s up to you to create some great content and share it with the rest of the world.
