Add your own music to your blogs and spaces

Personalize your blogs and spaces by adding your own choice of tunes. James Stables shows you how.

As an avid MySpace user it often frustrates me that you are limited to only being able to add one song to your space. Even more infuriating is that songs must be linked from another site, and usually the song you want isn't available. Well here is a simple guide to getting a personalised music player onto your space or blog:

1. Sign up to an online file hosting site where you can upload your music. I used TuneFeed as it is free, easy to use and completely legal.

2. Upload your MP3s onto the site.

3. When you’re done highlight and copy the embedding code.

4. Paste this into a section of your MySpace, blog or website. The web site must be able to support flash players.

5. Your player should look something like this:
