Three hottest features in Windows Vista
Which Windows Vista features could you not live without?
By James Stables on 01 July 2008
Summer is here and the air-con has broken in the Windows Vista Magazine office, and the heat has inspired me to find the three features in Windows Vista I couldn’t live without.
Due to severe perspiration I will keep it brief, but please comment and let us know your favourite features – the things that make Windows Vista stand out from its predecessors.
Start Search
When you go back to Windows XP and have to start actually browsing folders for your files, you realise just how far Windows has come. Just press the Windows key and start typing and you can find any program, file, email, picture or favourite in seconds. Find out more ways to supercharge Start Search here.
Reliability Monitor
This is a geeky one, but having the highest reliability score has become a running competition in the office. The reliability index makes it easy to see what’s harming your PC and keep your computer in the best of health.
Windows Sidebar
Using earlier versions of Windows makes you wonder why the right-hand side of the desktop wasn’t filled sooner. The range of gadgets on offer is fantastic and it’s easy to personalise your PC.
