I've been using Ccleaner for over three years and have found it to be very good. That said, using the issues function (registry cleaner) can bring on problems if you don't know what you are doing. Although it makes a backup I avoid using the issues function because of the potential problems it could cause. There is actually little or no speed advantage in cleaning the registry so why mess with it in the first place. J.B.

I agree with you V.J -I've been using it for sometime now,without problems,I run it every time when I've finished with the computer for the day - great! its not called 'crap' cleaner for nothing !!

CCleaner is something I didn't dare use when I first came across it because of the notes on the first post written here by J.B. However, after making sure you only touch what's really relevant, this nifty little software will clean your Reg much better than other softwares I've tried. Be warned though, always choose to save a backup when prompted in case you remove anything the PC really wants...
