Windows Home Server OEM pricing is unveiled
OEM versions of the new Windows Home Server operating system soon to be available for not very many notes.
By James De Vile on 09 October 2007

There are a number of dedicated units running
Windows Home Server coming
soon from different manufacturers, but if you'd rather put your old PC
or laptop to better use as a server than invest in a whole new set of
hardware, you'll be interested to hear that OEM (the software by itself) pricing for Windows
Home Server is looking pretty good.
IT247.com
is selling it for a low, low £95, providing connection to up to 10 PCs,
whereas a server itself would set you back over £300. Even if you
haven't got an old system lying around, if you'd like to get your hands
dirty, building your own home server using micro-ITX (the smallest PC
form factor) parts might be a fun little project…
