Translate a foreign language in one mouse click
With Windows Live Translator Beta
By NickO on 11 September 2007
Not everyone can speak fluently in twenty different languages. For us mere mortals who struggle to string together basic words, there's another way.
Translating English into one of many different foreign languages couldn't be easier with the newly released Windows Live Translator, currently available in Beta phase to test at http://translator.live.com
It's nothing spectacularly new - Babelfish already offers such a similar service - but Windows Live Translator does have the advantage that it displays both the original and translated text side by side, so you can compare to the two, which we've shown in the example below with a German eBay advert that's been converted to English.
The translation isn't perfect, but it does give you an idea of the advantages.
