I actually LOVE Windows Vista

Onuora Amobi from www.windows-vista-update.com describes his love of Windows Vista
By Ammalgam on 05 January 2008

I for one actually love Vista.

It's stable. It's quick. It's glossy and it works.

Have there been problems? yes.

Have there been bugs? Yes.

I will go on record as saying that I have recently had NO problems with Windows Vista. I remember that when I had XP, I had spyware attacks ALL the time. My PC would slow down ALL the time. I had to actually create system images to restore back to.

I think that a lot of people (naturally) are scared of change and after several service packs for XP, are comfortable.

I understand that.

I do know that in 2008, people will take a second look at Vista and begin to leave XP.

By the way, I hated the betas of Vista and even wrote about them on my website (http://www.windows-vista-update.com). i thought it was slow and clunky and aero was a waste of time.

Now though, I am sold.

I use more applications than 99% of users out there and have had very few problems with my apps.

Remember people, it is the responsibility of the various VENDORS to make their applications Vista compatible, not Microsoft. Most serious vendors have made their apps Vista compatible.

I have a PC with a fast cpu and graphics card and 3.2 gigs of ram.

By mid 2008, that type of hardware will be between $500 to $700.

At that point, a lot of criticism will fade away.

Viva Vista!!

Great to see a nice point on Vista than the usual bashing out there! It´s a great OS, so much better XP ppl need to realise...

I feel the same way. it seems most of the tech pundits on the web a lot who do not even use windows. they use macs or Linux write flaming articles about how bad vista is in general. how Microsoft is the demon of technologically.

you did not see the mass condemnation of leopard when it came out full of bugs. even though it is made only for one platform "IE" a mac. just a few configurations. and with windows it has to run on any configuration.

i remember when 95/98/me/2k/xp came out there were issues when they were released. but if you are a first adopter thats just the way it is be it a windows or mac or Linux operating system. as time go's on the bugs get ironed out and you get a stable system.

Microsoft gets flamed for everything that happens in windows. Microsoft does not write the drivers for your hardware they do not write the 3rd party software for windows. and most of the problems with windows boils down to poorly written 3rd party code.

i run vista i find it more intuitive than xp it's stable secure and lets face it' it looks cool.

Good article.Tired of reading and hearing negative feedback. When xp came on the market people complained too.Ironically, only problems I have had were my fault, not the OS.

I've had Vista since the beta versions and I haven't experienced ANY problems appart from the odd driver issue here and there. Who's to blame for Vista's negativity? DELL, if they didn't sell laptops with Vista Basic then people would be happy. Vista's awsome, I can agree, Vista is brilliant! It's fast, reliable and fun! Nice one MS
