What happened to the digital dream? I’m sure email was supposed to be about saving time and energy, yet since we’ve been using it, it’s taken over our lives. If you want your life back, then it’s time to tame your inbox.
1. Rule It Out
Go to Tools ➜ Message Rules ➜ News. In the New News Rule box, under Select the Conditions for your rule, use the check boxes to set up the criteria that you’d like.
2. Condition Zero
If you want to have lots of conditions, click the And link in the Rule Description section. In the And/Or dialog box, click Messages match all of the criteria or Messages match any of the criteria, and then click OK
3. Handle Carefully
Using Select the Actions, choose one or more check boxes to determine how to handle the messages that meet the conditions. To specify the conditions or actions click on the underlined links in the Rule Description section.
4. All Done
If you want Windows Mail to find particular people or words, click the Contains people or Contains specific words links in the Rule Description section. In the Name of the rule box, select the default name, enter what you want and click OK.
