Windows Vista features that need to be fixed.

By anandk on 18 August 2008

Friend Ciprian of vista4beginners.com has published an article Windows 7 and Windows Vista features that need to be fixed, in which he wants to engage as many people as possible and discuss about what Windows Vista features/problems need to be changed/fixed/upgraded in Windows 7. So if you have a suggestion or a grouse, you know where to head !

Pardon my confusion, please. When will Version 7 be available? Does a Visa Home Pemium user need to make another purchase? The only thing wrong with Vista is that it's a bit sluggish and needs more instruction. I do not see the need for a version 7. I see the need for more instruction availability. Thanks!

Windows 7 is expected 2010 Q1. Yes a Vista license holder will have to make another purchase. Vista is not sluggish imo. See if http://www.winvistaclub.com/e19.html or http://www.winvistaclub.com/t1.html helps you. FYI, Windows 7 builds on Vista code base. Its compatibility with Vista is good. Vista deployment will ease future migration to Windows 7. Devices 7 Application Compatibility will improve. That will be the focus. UI changes will be minimal No major changes in the hardware requirements will be there in Windows 7, over Vista. Windows 7 will have 32bit and 64 bit versions, and both will be priced at roughly the same level. Hope it clears the confusion :)

Wouldn't half be nice if I could have the "visuals" back. I never know what the defragmenter is doing now. Also, burning files from Windows Explorer is a bit of a guessing game. Again, no visuals so don't know when it's done and, invariably, I'll decide I've waited long enough for the disc to be done, try to take it our and Vista tells me it has to verify (is that right?) the disc before I can physically remove it. Blimey, how long you gonna be then? I'm thinking! Yes please. Gimme my visuals and logs back, especially for Defrag...

I wish that Microsoft would fix Vista, the operating system I already paid for before they run off and create another nightmare for us IT guys. Honestly, how much money do I have to pay these guys before I get what I asked for, a reliable, working operating system? If I bought a car that ran the way Vista does I could use the lemon laws to get what I paid for.
As for Microsoft asking us for our opinion, that is nothing new, what would be new is if they actually listened to us. So in my opinion the biggest wish I have is that Microsoft actually listened to us and just once, did right by us and give us what we asked for.

Here we go again Microsoft are at it again, can't fix the OS they have so they bring out a new one. This goes all the way back to Windows 2. Can anyone think of a Microsoft OS that worked properly without security bugs and other things that needed fixing, and worked properly.?????????????????
