The photographer responsible for Windows Vista's stunning wallpapers releases more

If you are getting bored of the wallpapers provided with Windows Vista then prepare to be "Wowed" a second time.

Hamad Darwish, the photographer commissioned to take the stunning original Windows Vista background shots, has released the ones that didn’t make it to the disc.

One

The photos are in 1920x1200 high-resolution and look fantastic on Windows Vista. You can download a pack of 22 photos from Hamad’s web site.

I love the pictures. Wonderful job. Just would like to know which do I click on to download the photos for my Windows Vista (Home Premium version). There are three links to click on. Which one do you click to download? thanks.

Hi there, glad you like them. Click the word 'download' rather than the website URL itself. Any are fine although I would recommend the two in English. Enjoy :-)

Could you please direct me to the right site where it says "Download". This is driving me nuts. I click on download and it takes me to his site. And on the site where it has his picture there are three downloads? Which is which and which do I click?

Try going to;
http://www.istartedsomething.com.nyud.net:8080/uploads/hamadvistawallpapers_hamaddarwish.com.zip

This should take you straight to the download of a .zip file. When downloaded extract the file to a new folder and all 22 wallpapers will be there. Cut and paste the wallpapers into the folder: C:\windows\web and they will appear in your list of backgrounds. Have fun.

I think you have mistaken the destination folder: in Vista C:\Users\%username%\Pictures will suffice; C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper is the other accurate destination folder.

I had to restore everything. I'm now trying to download these wonderful wallpapers and the site says the website is broken and why would this be. Can anyone shed some light on why you can't download the wallpapers for Windows Vista?

I also found a bunch or wallpapers and Vista themes at Vista-Skins.com. But, you can search for "vista skins" or "vista wallpaper" on Google to find more!
