Get top photography tips from Microsoft

New series of videos show how to get the most from your digital camera

If you want to improve your digital photography, then make sure you check out this new series of videos from Microsoft.

The series, called Shutterspeed, brings together some of the best photography minds at Microsoft, who discuss and offer advice on all angles of digital snapping.

Shutterspeed is presented by Nic Fillingham, who will be joined by different guest experts throughout the series. This episode the experts include Tim Grey, Senior Product Manager on the Rich Media Group, Michael Palermiti, Program Manager for Windows Live Photo Gallery and Bill Crow, Group Manager on the Microsoft Live Labs Team.

In the first episode the team looks at editing techniques and digital camera buying, and visit the home of a professional photographer who shows off his home-made lighting rig – and talks about some of the techniques he uses to capture his magnificent portraits.
