Buy some tinned carrots, or why not buy a cheap high-definition, high-spec Windows Vista PC?
The supermarkets aren’t just competing for food sales any more; they’re now offering computers better than the ones you can buy in PC World

Aldi is a supermarket known for its competitively-priced food, but it’s now selling a state-of-the-art Medion PC that could knock the socks off the ones other supermarkets are selling.
The MD 8828 has some great features, including Windows Vista Home Premium, a top notch dual-core processor and a massive hard drive. What puts it ahead of the game, though, is the fact that it has a built-in HD DVD/Blu-ray player, so you can buy high-definition discs to watch on your big screen LCD TV without having to worry about which hi-def format to get while there’s still a little uncertainty in the air.
The other nice bit about it is that Aldi is selling it for just £629.99, so it’s a bit of a bargain.
Please note that it is just a base PC though, so it’s designed for those of you who already have a decent monitor and speakers, but just want more power.
